LDPI informs you in detail about the Brexit

LDPI informs you in detail about the Brexit

LDPI vous informe sur le BREXIT

As of January 1st, 2021, new administrative rules for your exports to Great Britain will have to be put in place within the framework of Brexit. We will have to integrate export and import customs formalities into our goods routing processes. From now on we will inform you about the nature of the documentary process to be set up for your exports from this date. 1/ Obtain your EORI number from your local customs office if you are exporting or importing for the first time beyond the borders of the European Community. Also ask your buyer customer for his EORI number, which you will need to specify on your sales invoice. 2/ You must determine and negotiate the “Incoterm” of sale with your importing customer. As long as the final terms of the BREXIT are not known, we advise you to avoid the Incoterm DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) and DPU (Delivery at Place Unloaded for large lots and full loads) on your customer’s site. Prefer the incoterm DAP (Delivery at place) or DPU customs terminal. 3/ Ask your purchasing customer to send you the contact details of his usual forwarding agent. Otherwise we will impose him the one of our choice with whom he will have to carry out the import formalities. 4/ Prepare a final sales invoice + packing list to be sent to us by e-mail for validation by our export department. The invoice must be dated, signed and stamped. 5/ Once these documents have been validated by our export department, you will have to edit this invoice and packing list in 3 original copies and you will give them to the driver of the vehicle who will come to load or you will insert them in a plastic pocket to stick it on the last pallet loaded in the vehicle. Finally, in a more general way, we invite all our customers who have regular exports to this country under DDP (Delivey Duty Paid) incoterms to contact a consulting firm specialized in Customs to be accompanied in the actions to be carried out for the passage of Brexit.

Takes a proactive approach to waste recycling LDPI

Takes a proactive approach to waste recycling LDPI

LDPI - Une gestion maîtrisée du recyclage de ses déchets
LDPI - Compacteur carton et plastique

As the company grows, LDPI is also advancing and improving its waste management programme through a closely-managed increase in recycling and waste beneficiation.

Rising from 72% of recycled waste (OIW, cardboard and plastics) in 2018 to 91% in 2019, LDPI is committed to improving the management of waste on a daily basis across its sites. This has been achieved by means of cardboard and plastic compactors to considerably reduce waste volume, closed skips to hold packaging, and containers for broken pallets.

With input from its staff (e.g. via dissemination of internal procedures and training) and with support from our service provider, LDPI is constantly moving forward to meet environmental and regulatory challenges, as well as your expectations.

A new warehouse in late 2020

A new warehouse in late 2020

LDPI - Nouvel entrepôt entrée

In order to drive its own development and that of its customers, LDPI is building a new 18,000 m², latest-generation warehouse. Located 500m from the current sites in the neighbouring town of La Verpillière, this new building will be operational by the end of 2020.

What does this mean in concrete terms?

Our storage capacity will increase to more than 26,000 m², representing 30,000 pallet spaces.

Our co-packing activities, which are growing strongly, will benefit from a dedicated 1,000 m² workspace that serves as a true packing workshop.

Cross-docking activities will be enhanced by 30 dock doors and a dedicated area of 2,000 m² to meet national and international freighting requirements, and thus offer international bulking customers regular lines to more than 30 European countries. Distribution in the Rhône-Alpes region will continue to be carried out using our own lorries and semi-trailers, some of which will be equipped with a tailgate or on-board trolley (on 13m semi-trailers, 11m City semi-trailers and 26t lorries).
